Experience
Here are some of the professional teams my work has supported:
Projects
Here are a few samples of my professional work:
Hollister Staffing
Every month, as Hollister Staffing's Marketing Copywriter, I was responsible for producing two research-driven newsletters focusing on HR and Tech trends as they relate to the staffing industry.
My report for April 2018's "INTECH" newsletter focused on corporate strategies for improving inclusive hiring practices and workforce diversity within Boston's technology sector.
The release of this newsletter was scheduled to coincide with a panel discussion Hollister Staffing hosted the following month, titled "Diversity & Inclusion At Work."
Cambridge College
As Cambridge College's Marketing & Communications Specialist, one of my jobs was to produce timely and relevant landing page copy for the college website.
To commemorate Women's History Month in March 2021, I wrote a series of profiles celebrating powerful woman achievers from the college's vibrant and legacious alumni community.
Boston Harbor Now
As part of my contract with Boston Harbor Now, I was tasked with managing multiple newsletters for the non-profit.
For each newsletter lifecycle, my chief responsibilities were:
soliciting prioritized content from contributing department stakeholders,
proofreading & copyediting each line of copy,
arranging content into the proper templated layout,
testing all hyperlinks for accuracy & functionality,
securing unanimous executive approval, and finally
distributing the finalized product to the opted-in subscriber list via Mailchimp.
When I helped produce the Fall / Winter 2019 donor newsletter, I was excited to take on the responsibility of leading creative design.
The Human Variety Hour
From June 2018 to February 2020, I ran a monthly inclusion-oriented variety show featuring comedians, musicians, drag performers, and a live band. The idea for the Human Variety Hour began with my dream to create the type of live show experience I couldn't seem to find in Boston's comedy & music scenes: one which merrily welcomed all outsiders.
I hosted the show at a four locations in the Greater Boston Area, including Jacque's Cabaret, Dorchester Art Project, Lizard Lounge, and the Jungle.
For each show, I was the talent booker, producer, host & tone-setter, as well as creative marketing director. I designed show posters, built a website, launched a podcast, and managed multi-channel content marketing campaigns for each show with social media blasts, paid promotions, and collaborations with local venue and event organizers (e.g. the Boston Calendar, Meetup, and JP Porchfest).
It remains one of my life's most creatively fulfilling experiences.
Let's jam!
